This field represents the title of the CazVid that the candidate uploaded. Candidates can choose how they want to name their video. If you would like to search for specific keywords, we advise you to use the full text search described in the following section. This works best when using one or two words. For example, if you are looking for a customer service representative, you might want to search for "customer service", or simply "service"
As a title, candidates may choose for example:
- Their desired position
- Their job title
- Their industry
- Simply: "looking for work"
Using this filter, you might want to look for examples like:
- Customer Service
- Model
- Student
- Bachelor (as in degree)
The category filter represents the industry you are looking for. Candidates can add categories to their CazVid's to make them easier to find for employers. A pro-tip is included at the bottom of this section.

- Customer Service Representative -> Customer Service
- Bartender -> Bars / Restaurants / Hospitality
- Teacher -> Education

Please respond with only the name of the category and, if needed, a one-sentence explanation of your choice.
For this field, simply select the language in which you want to look for candidates. Do not select your own language. By selecting multiple languages, you will find candidates that either speak one, or multiple of the languages you selected.
If you are looking for bilingual candidates, do not select multiple languages and expect to find candidates that speak both languages. To find bilingual candidates we suggest to either use the full text search. Or search for candidates in a location where one of the languages is not the native language of the candidates, and select the second language they need to be proficient in.
For example:
- My native language is English, and I am looking exclusively for Spanish speaking candidates in my own country, therefor I will select "Spanish" as the language
- I am looking for bilingual remote workers in Colombia that speak both English and Spanish. Spanish is the native language of Colombia therefor I will select "English" as the language.
In this field, you will always need to select a city. If you are performing a state- or country specific search. We recommend you select the capital of the state or country. If you are looking for candidates in a continent, we recommend you perform multiple searches per country in the continent. If you are looking for remote candidates, select the 'I am looking for remote candidates only' option.
For example:
- I am looking for candidates in Tempe, Arizona, United States. Therefor I will select Tempe, Arizona, United States
- I am looking for candidates in Arizona. Therefor I will select the capital of Arizona, which is Phoenix. In this case, I'll select Phoenix, Arizona, United States
- I am looking for candidates in Colombia, the capital of Colombia is Bogotá, therefor I will select Bogotá, Bogotá D.C., Colombia
- I am looking for remote candidates in the United States, therefor I will select Washington D.C., Washington D.C., United States as it is the capital of the United States
- I am looking for remote candidates all over Latin America. I will therefor perform multiple searches. Using Bogotá, Ciudad de Mexico, Buenos Aires, Lima, Quito, etc.
If you already know the name of the candidate you are looking for or are only interested in candidates with a specific name. You can use this field to find that candidate.
We recommend you use only 1 word for this search to get more accurate results. Here's how the search works:
- I enter Jane Doe, my results will show candidates with either the name "Jane", or "Doe" e.g. I might find candidates like "Jane Smith", "John Doe", or "Jane Davis"
- I enter Alex Smith, my results will show candidates with either the name "Alex", or the last name "Smith". I might find candidates like: "Alex Brown", "Emily Brown", "Chris Smith", "Morgan Smith"
2.2. Sorting
Next to the green 'Advanced Search' button you will see a sorting box. You can use this to sort your candidates based on 'nearest' or 'newest'.
Sorting by nearest will sort your results by the nearest candidates. But doing this will also include candidates from nearby cities. For example, if you select Phoenix, Arizona as your city. You might also get candidates from Chandler, Tempe, or Glendale, but the nearest should show at the top.
By sorting by newest, you will get the newest candidates in the location you selected. This includes candidates in a closer radius but excludes candidates further away. Thus, if you've selected Phoenix, Arizona as your location and sort by newest, you might get candidates from Tempe or Scottsdale, but no candidates from Gilbert, as that is further away from Phoenix.
3. Full text search
If you prefer finding candidates through keywords, you can use CazVid's full text search on the left side of the search. This feature performs a full text search taking into account the candidate's resume, the transcript of the candidate's video, the candidate's post title, and the candidate's description. You can use the filters from the previous section on top of the full text search to take certain criteria in account (i.e. I am looking for a bilingual programmer in Colombia, so I filter for Colombia and select English as the language, I will then search for programmer with the full text search)
All of the individual keywords count as search criteria and will be taken into account in the full text search. For example:
- I search for customer service agent in the full text search. My results would include candidates that use either one of those 3 words somewhere in their post. I will get candidates just using the word "customer" (i.e. customer relations manager), candidates just using the word "service" (i.e. service worker), and I will get candidates just using the word "agent" (i.e. sales agent).
Pro tip: use AI tools to decide what keywords to use. You can use this prompt as a template:

A candidate might choose to create multiple resumes for a couple of reasons, e.g.:
- To present themselves in multiple languages. e.g. a candidate speaks Spanish and English so they will create a video in both Spanish and English to apply for both English, and Spanish jobs.
- To present different skill sets they have. e.g. a candidate might have experience in both sales and marketing so they should create one video focused on sales, and one video more focused on marketing.
